NASA TV (286) is showing a banner saying their uplink is now on Galaxy 13 transponder 11...

I hope DISH fixes this.

Wow, way to drop the ball Dish! This has been in the works for some time now...

Get NASA in HD for FREE! Requires either a computer or an iptv box.

here's the link.

Glad to know they are aware, still doesn't guarantee that it will get done before the feed goes offline.

actual it is..HD is the only feed available..DISH just down rezzes it

I am absolutely 100% certain the Dish NASA TV channel is not in HD. You have to use the online stream or your personal BUD to see it in HD.

I said..the source is in HD..the SD source discontinued..DISH takes the HD feed and makes it SD

When I said the Dish channel is not HD and you said it is - that would be wrong. I didn't intend to have lengthy discussion on what "is" is ;)

What Juan said is exactly correct when you add the rest of his comment for context. I'm unsure why you seem to think there should be a lengthy discussion... ;)

Pretty sad when an outage goes on into a weekday and dish already has a dish on Galaxy 13 for Starz. What the heck is going on at TOC in Cheyenne?

All they need to do is take the current NASA TV receiver and connect it to a spare Distribution Amp port for the galaxy 13 downlink or route a hot spare receiver for Galaxy 13 to ch 286.

NASA still distributed as QPSK/DVB-S MPEG-4 HD according to both sources above. They haven't even required a DVB-S2 at the headend.

A local PBS station WEFS in Orlando carries NASA on 68.3 and they had no problems with the change over.

Just funny since its the NASA channel.
