Comcast phone service included at no charge

Comcast in the southern region is bundling home phone service at no additional charge for 1 year. Personally, I'll really barely use it but at least it's included at no additional charge!! The down side is you must use their modem which is 10.00 extra per month.

I agree. I'll never use it. Have no use for it!! They just throw it in. Probably to inflate numbers

I don't think you HAVE to use their modem but the modem they usually issue for Xfinity w/voice ( an Arris TG862G ) runs about $200.

Oh, ok. I was just under the assumption you had to use their modem for phone. I know you can buy your own modem for internet. I have their Arris modem dual band modem and my Roku can pick up the 5mhz band. My tablet uses 2.4mhz. My speed is 150 down, but with an eithernet cord I can get around 160 down on my laptop

I have some Comcast voice modems that include the router and wifi for $100

BTW, the phone service is not free. There is a double play bundle for $10 less starting at $79 or $89 per month depending on the region.

My bill says voice says TN voice--$0.00
I'm also getting my X1 DVR free for 1 year, modem free for 1 year , and Cinemax for 2 dollars for a year when I threatened to cancel!!
