Anyone else have this happen? Every once in a while, no patter, my apps just stop working on my 4K Joeys. I'll hit the apps button, click on Gamefinder or Weather, or whatever, and it simply does nothing except go back to the screen I was watching.

A complete reboot seems to fix it temporarily, but that's not always convenient.

Anyone else see this? Anyone have a better fix than unplugging the Joey?

Does the Hopper have the same issue? When clicking to the Apps, does the app appear then close automatically or app won't respond?

What happens is - let's say I'm watching some live TV show. I hit the Blue key on the 40 remote to bring up the bottom bar with the apps. I move to the Gamefinder app and click on it. The apps bar immediately goes away and the app never comes up - no spinning circle, nothing. It acts as if I hit the Cancel key. If I go to Menu then say, the Weather app - exactly the same thing. I move to the app, click on it, it just immediately closes and goes back to the live TV screen.

If I unplug and plug back in the 4K Joey, it fixes it. For a while. Then it will happen again. This is happening on both of my 4K Joeys.

I have not noticed this behavior on the Hopper 3. I did note that when it happened on one of the 4K Joeys, I went to the room with the Hopper 3 and the apps were working fine on it.

With no Netflix on the 4k Joeys and these kind of issues, I'm starting to wonder if I made a mistake a few weeks ago having 4K Joeys installed instead of regular Joeys. (Of course, I don't know what issues those have either! ;) )

For the same reason that Laila suggested it, resetting the broadband network may fix it, and then again maybe not. You don't know until you try it.

OK, so Apps stopped working again this morning on my 4K Joey. I did the network reset from the menu as recommended. The good news - it worked! Apps work again. Sucks because of course it interrupts any recordings in progress, but it works.

Bad news: after doing that, I can't access my EHD on the Hopper 3 from the 4K Joey. Working fine on the Hopper 3, but can't see it on the Joey.

This kinda sucks. Especially when it's my wife trying to figure it out when it happens when I'm out of town (she is self admittedly not a techie.)
