Has anyone heard an update? I'm getting very pissed that it was promised 9 months ago and still hasn't come to the hopper.

If it is anything like Vevo, on my Hopper 3 DVR, it will load and then reload. I have Youtube on my Blu Ray DVD player, Fire TV, and Smart TV. I rarely have any problems with youtube not reloading, and it is frustrating to hear that Dish promised it 9 months ago.

true dish announced back in january at the consumer electronics show it should not take this long for a third party developer to create the app and get it in testing and get it to their customers.i am just saying.

Dish didn't 'promise' anything. They never do. They announced their intention to have a YouTube App for the Hopper 3. Period. Yes, it looks like it's under development and yes it looks like it's probably coming sometime but it's not an entitlement.

If memory serves me Dish has shown a lot of things at past CES shows that never actually materialized for customers.

true to a certain point like one of the other apps i would like to see added the dish whole home music app.someone is getting tired of listening to pandora, siriusxm and dish music all the time. and we need more choices to listen to like tunein and iheart radio. just saying

Use AppleTV/ChromeCast/FireTV/SmartTV apps instead
NO! Use Roku or the even better Fire TV :). He, he. Actually, I find the apps on devices like those we have mentioned to be quite the inferior experience. I've found that using a tablet with its far more desktop like options and filters to be far superior, and then I can "cast" it (really using the URL) to a whole list of TV's or connected devices (like a Roku, etc.) to be far better than those limited function apps on the connected devices.

Oh the argument on Dish's main page saying that. Always get mad when you ask how much they pay for that and how the line item reads.
