Why would two HWSs have different search results? When I did a search for a TV show by HBO titled Divorce on two HWSs, I get different search results. See attached pics Hopper #1, Pic 1 and Hopper #2, Pic 3. Also, when I select the results I get a listing of the shows but when I select one nothing happens. See pics Hopper #1, Pic 2 and Hopper #2, Pic 4.

Looks like these hopper behaves like 922, I was having problems with one of mine and just have to replaced the hard drive, everything works OK now

The search field shows (2) different search terms: "divorce" and "divo".

Also, make sure there are no filters applied. Open the "Filters" menu and clear any that may be selected.

I get same results after clearing out all filters and used the same search term DIVORCE in both HWSs. I can live with both HWSs giving different results, but why does nothing happen when I select a listing to watch it? Can you try the same search Hall and see if you can select one of the listings to watch and see if it works for you? I am wanting to watch a HBO show titled Divorce that stars Sarah Jessica Parker. There has been one season with ten episodes. Thanks Hall for your help.

I'll try.... Does the search results vary based on your subscription package ? It may or may not. On one hand, it shouldn't show me results for stuff I can't watch, but on the other hand, Dish may show those to entice you to subscribe to add'l channels or packages.
Not sure if results are based on the subscription package. We have the AEP. If you look at the pic Hopper #2, Pic 3, the one Divorce icon that has no numbers on it did download and we watched it. It was episode 9.

Also, we'll be comparing the search tool between two different interfaces, although the search results should not vary. Just how the results are displayed....
I would think the results should not vary too for different interfaces, but no telling. I am still on the old user interface, software version S542.

Perhaps it is that one DVR does not have the latest metadata down-load. Each Hopper or DVR box may download the metadata at different times over several hours. TiVo does this, as well. In other words, all Dish DVR's (or TiVo DVR's as another example) do NOT get the latest metadata at the same time. There would exist, possibly several hours, of difference between two different DVR's, even of the same model. That's the only instance I can think of relating to different search results. In fact, VOD metadata may be a different package or stream than EPG metadata, and who knows how often the latest VOD metadata is sent out and when the DVR accepts the download? The result can be search results that are significantly different. Otherwise, if this big difference in search results persists, it could be a malfunction of the DVR like metadata on a corrupted part of the HDD. The OP should keep making comparisons and get the troublesome DVR RMA'd after speaking with Dish tech support if it is something he does not want to live with.

Thanks DishSubLA, understand. This morning the search for Divorce in both HWSs has completely disappeared. When they did show up, I never could select the programs to download for some reason. I would select one and nothing would happen.

I have another search issue that started yesterday and still same issue this morning. When I do a search for Airport I get the same results on both of my HWSs. See pic 1. But on one of my HWSs when I select two of the selections I get a popup window #1557 that says currently unavailable. See pic 2. The other HWS the two selections work OK, I can rent them. Wonder what the deal is with this!
