Twice this week (that we know of :) ) our Hopper 3 has ignored a timer. These are timers that are set for "New", and both times a new episode of a show was ignored (not even Skipped as not new, just completely ignored as if the guide data didn't match)

The first time was The Expanse on Wednesday. I tried restoring Saturday's re-airing but it wasn't showing up as matching either - I had to set up a manual one-time recording for it. This timer had existed for as long as The Expanse has been on the air, with no issues. Next week's new Wednesday is listed just fine in the scheduled timers.

The second time was tonight, we sat down to notice Big Little Lies wasn't recording on HBO as it should be. Again, the timer had been working fine until this episode, but I haven't had a chance to see if next week's is picked up or not.

All other timers look like they're working fine, though. Anyone else seeing problems like this.? Guide data error? Something worse?

Gregleg, they guide was updated. Sorry to read you've missed some shows. Double check Dish Anywhere or stream them on the Hopper to get caught up. Some timers were not recording properly. To correct this delete the timer and create a new one. That should resolve the issue. Nothing major with your unit, it was from the update on the guide.

So, are you saying some of us have to delete 100+ timers and set them up again to correct this problem?

It's likely only a very few are affected. I went through my 89 timers in no time. Bring up the list of timers. Click it and see if any programs are populated, that includes ones that won't be recording etc. If nothing is there and you know the show is on either in re run or new in the next 7 or 8 days the timer needs to be re done. If any show is there that timer should be fine.

Thanks!

Can you pass on to the appropriate parties that this kind of churn isn't cool? The entire reason we have a DVR is so that we don't have to worry about keeping track of what's coming up, especially when we're out of town. In this case it wasn't hard to catch up, but that's not always the case.

I keep losing a timer each week. For some reason the "Big Bang Theory" seems to delete from my timers. I have even set multiple timers to catch it and it will delete. I have to keep checking my weekly guide and schedule to see if my shows are going to record on network tv shows. I don't use prime time anytime anymore ,because the endings of shows get cut off before they end. Now I have 0 early /3 minutes late on all timers and it catches all the endings. This week on Saturday I lost my ota timer for "Wild Wild West" on Metv. When I checked it was still there ,but the timer showed no scheduled show for this Saturday or next . I deleted it and had to recreate the timer and it shows now a recording for next Saturday. Every since the new guide data has been added, I am having all kinds of glitches and recordings not happening . My news timers had to be changed to be daily and Mon -Friday ,since new only now gets no recording scheduled. Ridiculous.

Many times I feel like Dish is treating us as Guinea Pigs. Change this, break that, who cares, let them suffer and then wait for few months for a fix that will then break something else.

I had the exact same thing happen to me with last week's The Expanse. I had it happen a few weeks ago with Dragon Ball Super as well.

Yep me too. Missed Big Little Lies last night and The Expanse last week. Not to mention a bunch of live sports over the weekend.

"Just" create new timers?! What about all the timers for shows that aren't currently running? Now we're likely to miss some of them also unless we take notes of when new seasons are supposed to start.

And I have noticed 2 other things: 1) some show icons are incorrect, the Big Little Lies icon is now "In Dubious Battle" for some reason, 2) on search, some of the shows found which used to all be collected under a single show title, are now shown individually, this seems to be especially true for sports - the consequence of this is that whereas all those shows would previously have been included under one title (timer), now a separate timer has to be set for each one (and again, the likelihood of missing an event is increased, you have to keep regularly searching to see if something is set).

This last guide update or whatever it was clearly was not properly tested. It should be rolled-back until Dish gets it right.

Yup. Looks like it's the same three I've been having problems with for the last couple of months. PGA Tour on 401 and NBC and LPGA on 401. Went in and deleted all three and set back up using the guide. The guide shows the PGA on 401 this Thurs-Sun and on NBC Sat-Sun. Set it up on the guide for Thursday as a recurring new and reruns and from the guide for Sat as a recurring new and reruns.

Been several hours now and when I check the timers for time schedule I still see nothing but what I set up a few hours ago. These timers should have populated by now! This is the same junk that's been going on since the new guide provider started. Getting really old.

I had a couple not record on one HwS and they recorded as they should have on the other. All this started with the "revitalization" of the Guide, Icons and info. Only to leave things in disarray. I now have a majority of programs that have generic info, no icons at all and timers don't work with the listing. Not good.

It happened today with my wife. Her story showed in the scheduled list. Go into the recordings, no story there. Go into scheduled and back up the list it shows it recorded it from 12pm til1 pm, however there isnt a recording on the dvr. Restarted the HWS, still no recording. So even if the timer is in the scheduled list, still no guarantee it will record.
