50.0 remote compatibility

Does anyone know if the 50.0 remote works if your Hopper 3 is connected to HughesNET Gen 4 system? A customer hasn't upgraded to Gen 5 yet and I am unsure of compatibility??

I wouldn't see why not, no different than any other isp connected to the h3. However not sure I'd connect hughesnet with the limited data they offer.

the 40.0, 50.0 & 52.0 are all designed to work with the Hopper 3 (among other DVR's) - it should not matter who the box is "connected" to.

FYI, the 50.0 voice control functions are dependent on a good internet connection.
