I have Hopper 3 with 2 Joeys. I recently changed my programming to bring the bill down considerably. I got a decent ota antenna and ran separate cable to it. ota channels found by dish receiver and able to record....except I constantly get a message that I do not have enough tuners to more than one channel at a time. This is only using ota. Dish channels still allow multiple recording of multi channels. I talked to dish and they did not know what the problem was even with the code. They said they would send to engineering and that I probably needed s/w change/download. Because of this I have added a channel master dvr which allows two channels to record at same time, perfectly. This problem only happens on channels coming off the ota. There are also problems trying to switch from one ota channel to another is something is recording. Msg: not enough tuners. Are you kidding me? I hope someone has some kind of idea this sloppily written post is trying to say.

The dual tuner hasn't been activated yet by DISH. They are suppose to activate soon.
AHA! is that the problem??? I saw that there was supposed to be dual tuner with the dish gadget i bought but did not now what it meant. The gadget is inline with the ota and some how converts the ota rf signal to a signal that does into one of the usb ports on the dish receiver. I'll calmly wait for the dual tuner thing to begin. Tks
