Anyone "moved" successfully, post-merger?

That's expected, though. More interested in if you actually got your service address changed, or changed back, permanently.
Several times since then; from "moving" back home for a service call, and then "moving" back to the previous location as soon as the tech drives off. 
I have and love it. The ability to "move" is one of the main reasons I am with Directv, especially "moving" to a county that has my home locals (Burlington, VT) as SV with the the actual locals (Boston, MA) that I want as it is a complete market. I do not like paying for channels I can get free and not getting what others get for the same price. I get most of the OTA locals with the AM21 without much zip code fiddling. All but 2 of my local subchannels are there with proper guide data. I have 36 total locals, including duplicates affiliates of all of the major networks and HD Spanish channels, including Telemundo, unfortunately not Azteca. That 36 also includes locals I receive via the AM21, there are actually 38 but 2 have incorrect data. I would have 8 locals, 7 of which I receive just fine OTA, if I didn't "move" and have an AM21. I know people have more than 36 but it's the best I could do with the spotbeams I had and not wanting to lose my RSNs.

Okay, so after giving the retention specialist my actual address, then seeing my actual address on the order confirmation e-mail, but still seeing the old address listed as the Service Address when I logged into my account, and then being assured by two different online chat representatives that the address had been updated on their end, it is still to be expected that they would send my installer to the wrong address?
I got my service address changed back to my actual address, and I haven't "moved" again since then.

That was me. (Thanks again) I moved via chat, no problems at all.
Without looking it up, I'm not sure when officially AT&T officially took over DirecTV, but in November 2014, I 'moved' back to my real address for a service call. I never called up to 're-move' since I continued to received my 'moved' locals. Last Fall when I upgraded from the HR34 or the HR44, as expected, I now receive my real locals on the HR44, but the HR24 in the living room still has the other locals.
Not really. I have had the same thing happen to me, "moving" with Dish. With either provider, more often than not, you will continue to receive the old market's locals after changing the Service Address unless you call them again to get the locals changed (if you want them changed) in my experience.
edisonprime was referring to EarDemon saying he got different locals on different boxes on the same account. That is weird.
I have also had that happen. One time, after transferring one of my purchased receivers from one of my accounts to the other account (this was with Dish, not Directv) that receiver got both the Toledo locals and the Cleveland locals. I had different base packages on each account, and that receiver also continued to receive all of the national channels from the other account's package, in addition to the correct package for the new account. That glitch was eventually fixed when Dish did a Smart Card swap.
That's awesome getting two sets of locals. The best of both worlds.
My "moved" location has SV locals, so I get two sets anyways, and my off-air antenna gets my true locals (as well as those other markets on a good day after rotating; basically for their subchannels). So you might say that I actually get three markets.
What I would like to see happen is for Directv to add SV locals in Crawford County, Ohio. That would give viewers in that county local channels from three different markets: Columbus (the actual DMA for Crawford County), Cleveland (WKYC, WEWS, WJW), and Toledo (WTOL, WTVG, WUPW). That would be the best of three worlds with: two NBC, two CBS, three ABC, and three FOX.
I can very much understand that situation. That's me on occasion, but I usually just go through a little bit of some shows on all the channels I watch, and not watch entire shows, so often I could watch that many.
