I created a folder on my Living Room Hopper3 called Specials. I saved the following programs from PTAT: A Very Pentatonix Christmas Special, and Christmas in Rockefeller Center. Both programs aired on NBC. When I select Manage Recordings these programs do not show up so I am unable to move them to my folder. Is the inability to move them due to the fact that they are still in PTAT? If this is the case, will I be able to move them to my folder when they drop out of PTAT?

Yes

As long as a program resides in the PTAT folder that is where the actual program is even if you had it as a Save Series or as a standalone program in your personal space. In other words, the program is not recorded twice.

Are these programs that won’t move actually viewable? Not corrupted?

Why would it be designed to not let you move a show to a folder?

They didn't! The saved recordings are not in a format to go in a folder or to an EHD until the PTAT ends. Simple...

However, if it is important to you to do it right away, set a regular timer and unskip it, or just turn off PTAT that night. If you use PTAT to avoid missing a show that you might want, an alternative is that you can see almost the whole PTAT schedule on one page of the guide. You don't need PTAT on to get the 4 channels on one tuner 24/7. The only real value for PTAT on a Hopper3 is to have it on just one night to activate the commercial autoskip feature. With up to 19 channel recordings at once, it hardly matters if you record a show that you MIGHT want to watch. PTAT was more important on the earlier Hoppers. Make a folder of "Maybes".

Also remember that saved PTAT shows don't extra time at the end, except for some scheduled sports.
