Possibly six that I know of: 311, 322, 512, 522, 625, and there is also a "311k" (a 322 with the TV2 output disabled, similar to the way old 522's were turned into 512's)

Okay. I recently reactivated a ViP222k because of a rumor in another thread that they are about to be discontinued. Now that we have a firm cut-off date for the ViP612, I guess I can reactivate it some time before that date. ViP211k's are still not on the chopping block yet, correct?

I believe that’s what there creating the “Hopper Lite” for. It’s supposed to do what the ViP211 series does but have the new interface and faster speed to handle it. Dish just want to force the CUI on everyone.(although I can see it being a helping factor for tech support)

There will be the H3 unique CUI quirks, and the H2 unique CUI quirks, and the “OMG, don’t you want to upgrade” for the H1.

My brother in law lives in the poorest county in his state and lives on a dirt road with few homes

The fiber optic line is coming down his road next year.
