Is there a list of channels that Dish is broadcasting in 4K?
Just bought a new Samsung 4K Tv
Right now the only 4K channels are Video on Demand. There have been some events in the past though. We had delayed Olympic coverage at the Rio Olympics. There was several weeks of a college football game. There was also Planet Earth II. All of these events have been on channel 540, an on and off channel. We will probably get some Olympic coverage in a few weeks. If you are a Netflix subscriber and subscribe their highest level you will also get 4K movies there. To get any of this you must have a Hopper 3 or 4K Joey.

From what I've read and reasoned,
By the time networks are ready to make the next 'standards' move...
480-1080-??...
4K will have passed as outdated.
Expecting 8K (or more) to be the next standard.

8K is already being worked on right now the winter olympics will be shot in Ultra 4k Hd and 8K also to in a couple of weeks in south korea.

8K is ridiculous for home viewing.

From 10 ft viewing distance you can barely see the difference between 1080i and 4K much less 8K

8K is already in theaters, where it belongs, beyond that it is verging on a scam.
It depends upon the size of the screen...

Amazon Prime has 4K ,also. You will need at minimum a 25 Mbps internet download speed.

You have to think outside the tv box.
Imagine a full wall 'papered' with monitor.
The fullwall monitor is sectioned into 'windows', like a computer monitor.

With one window for tv,
one window for news,
One window for clock/weather,
Multiple small windows for family photos,
maybe a window to an ocean/beach view.

Speaking of that, Phoenix is the test city for all of the main networks to go to ATSC3 in the very near future. We should know a bit more about those things soon.
Old post, I know, but I haven’t seen anything here in the Phoenix market. Can you point me in the right direction, Bobby? PM is fine if you want to take it out of thread.
