I currently have Fluance speakers in the rear corner style 88db sensitivity. 60/120 watts corners style. I have a chance to pick up a couple of Klipsch RP-240s corner speakers/rear. 93db sensitivity. 75/300watts. Question is. Is it worth the upgrade. Would cost about 216 for the pair. Just not sure if it's worth the upgrade? Powered by a Denon AVR-X3400H 7.1 surround. sub R-12SW, Center RP-250C, Fronts RB-61.ii
surrounds R-15M. Only non Klipsch are the rears but not really sure if the upgrade is worth it as the sounds are very discrete? Thanks

Sounds like major overkill to me.

Unless you have a very large home theater, say over 600-700 square feet, a first class 5.1 channel system will do a great job. Rear speakers in most setups are really unneeded. Atmos is another unnecessary and probably DOA, it simple doesn't bring enough WOW! For the cost.

A few questions.
- How big is the room?
- Where are the current surrounds placed?

Reason I am asking is that the 240 is an ambience type speaker. It sends the sound out at 45 degree angles, and that is not really going to work in a rear corner. It is meant to provide a diffuse, ambiance sound. The Fluance is a direct radiator and will give more focused sound. You will find that the Klipsch is significantly more efficient, but your Denon has enough power that this may not be an issue.

Consider using the RP-240s as the side surrounds placed high and even with the viewing position. Then leave the rears where they are. Alternately, forget the RP-240s and get a pair of RB-15s instead

Room is 25 x14. 65 inch KS8500 is on wall. On one of the long ends. Under the tv is the entertainment center. 6 ft apart under tv. Are the RB-61's about 8 ft are the R-15m's each side. Back rear corners up by the ceiling are the Fluence speakers. Sub is in the rear left corner behind a sofa wedge (pit group). Center channel is just under tv dead center.
