Wasn't 100% sure where to post this thread, since I'm active on the Dish forum, the FTA forum, the Cord Cutter's forum, and the OTA forum. This thread touches on all of those, but since I seem to spend most of my time in the Dish forum, here it goes!

Since I moved to my present home just a little over 2 years ago, I've tinkered with Dish equipment, various OTT services, added 3 Ku dishes, and also a rooftop antenna. These photos show the compilation of all that work.

My living room entertainment center is the epicenter of it all. Located behind the TV I have my Verizon cellular broadband router with voice, my Dish Wally EHD, and a dual band router.

Below that is my HD Homerun tuner, then the APC dual-battery UPS, which keeps everything online in case there is an outage (we have a significant number of them here).

Below that is the AVR, the Slingbox and the blu-ray player. My Dell HTPC is to the left of all this.

I'd say I can do just about anything with this setup and I'm pretty proud of it. Want to tune wild feeds on Ku? Yep! Want to watch a movie on the DVR from Dish? Yep! Play a playlist from Spotify or iTunes on the PC through the AVR? You got it!

Anyways, I'm posting this because ALL OF YOU helped me get here. This site, the wonderful people of this forum, always have the tips and tricks and money-saving knowledge to get the job done.

Thank you.

Well...as long as we're humblebragging, we need a picture!

:biggrin

Nah, she’s not worth bragging about. Or the data wasted to post her picture :biggrin Suffice it to say she left me broke and homeless a couple years back. So I don’t exactly keep nice pictures of her around
