I currently have a H3 and looked recently online at my account and I am not listed as an "outdoor account" I did send a request to the Sat Guys general email - no response. How to I go about it? Any assistance is greatly appreciated. I do move the RV from time to time and would like to have my location in synch with the signal. I would like to accomplish the task without a phone call.

Thanks

I believe if you change DMA's you must call Dish to tell them your new service address.

There is no way that I see to change the service address on line.

No, not through the online website, but it can be done through the mydish app. The account needs to be flagged as a Dish Outdoor account. I did a private conversation with a DIRT member to get my account flagged that way. Having said that, this feature might only work with certain models of receivers, such as the ViP211 family or Wally, so I am not sure that this feature would actually help the OP with a H3.

The "locals" change feature on the app works fine here for the Hoppers on my "Outdoor" account. Sometimes I want to change the locals to a DMA other than where I am currently located though, so then I use the Dish chat system. Other RV'ers have mentioned that the Facebook messaging system also works well, although I haven't tried it yet.

Using the MyDish to change Service Address does not rely on Outdoors Dish, it is dependent on being a Pay-As-You-Go subscriber, meaning you own the equipment. Dutch should have included that fact.

I have a subscription Hopper 3 and am a Outdoors Dish account but I so not have the Change Service Address feature on the MyDish app.

Having doing this for a couple of years, using Chat works fine to Change Service Address and actually gives you more control than using the GPS coordinates of your smartphone.

Sorry for being off topic somewhat- I have a HWS/SJ at home and use a 211K in our RV. I think that I am on a Outdoors account but am unsure how to verify it through Mydish? I can turnoff or on receivers at Mydish but don't know if that's an indication of having a Outdoors account.
Thanks, Gerry

Yes, my account is like that. I only have one receiver on that account, though, so I have not checked to see what would happen if I used the website option to turn that receiver off.

You're right of course, I should have mentioned my PAYGO account and owned equipment. What I was replying to though, was that the locals change feature in the app is not receiver model dependent.
