When AT&T bought Direct I thought cool, I will bundle my satelite, home phone, home alarm system, cell phone, and internet into ONE bill. AT&T was happy to have me, DirecTV was the ugly step-parent. They considered me a "grandfathered customer" would not upgrade my equipment even though it was 7 yrs old. They refused to shut my account down and give me a new one. So I felt like a consumer hostage. I turned them into FTC and am awaiting a class action suit to be filed. They finally turned it off after I let my bill become delinquent and I went to DISH. We miss the NFL Ticket so come on DISH, grab that contract. Also if you had this issue too, complain to FTC.

Dish will not likely EVER have the Sunday Ticket. If you read some threads around here, you will see there’s a chance DTV won’t have it much longer either.

i think your reading things into that ... nothing that I have seen says that D* is getting rid of the ST ... it more than likely be opened up too other offerings, but I don't see it leaving D*.

I read it that the NFL may cheapen it’s value to DTV and they may both decide not to renew. Plenty of time for the NFL to try different schemes.

Didn’t I read somewhere where the NFL is no longer growing in popularity, and may be decreasing? They sure cost a lotta money. Do they fill the stadiums?

Offering it via other platforms like streaming will diminish its value to Directv, but it will still have value. They'll still want it, but they will not pay anywhere near what they are currently paying for it if people are no longer forced to get Directv in order to get NFLST.

I find it hard to believe that something that D* built, potentially being accessed by others, that D* will not continue to have it, seeing now Everyone else would be able to get it.

Another thing, it will be interesting to see if the NFL does open it up to everyone .... how many actually take it. (company wise).
Alot of people can bitch that they are not allowed to have it, but when it comes to being available to them, will they pony up the money to carry it ?

That could also be good for D* subs as they would have to drop thier prices to an area that others decide to sell it for ... or the other could try to sell it for what D* does, which would be ridiculous for them to try.

Exactly. Right now Directv has 100% of NFLST customers. If it goes non-exclusive, they will lose some customers but keep many of them. If they drop it they would lose many more.
