Fox Regional Sports Networks Block DISH and Sling TV Customers

Quite the opposite.

Dish has said in earlier years that only 20 percent of subscribers watch sports and some day they might walk away from the everyone pays model.

It was posted a while ago here that ESPN does the same "everybody pays" thing because if they had to rely on only those that actually wanted to watch their programming they would have long ago gone out of business. Actually, I think they would have been forced to not accede to the outrageous demands of the sports franchises.

Then these sports franchises would be forced to limit the outrageous salaries of their players. That said, they would rather force people that don't watch their programming to subsidize those that do. I don't believe this can go on indefinitely.

Disney is about to hurt.

Dish apparently was fine without HBO, so I guess they will be fine without fox sports.

I know one thing. A few bars in the area think they made the right decision going with Dish.

We will see if they still feel that way come Monday when I visit them and see if Directv looks any better now.

Looks to have everyone except the NABs support. Being bipartisan, and have such a large backing from everyone involved in the situation, it should pass, especially given the timeline for the STELAR expiration.
Until NAB starts lining pockets... ;)

I'm so sick of this company. I should've never left DirecTV back in 2013 and have no other choice now.

What I don't understand is why some of you who live in an area with broadband are wasting your $ using Dish or any other satellite? I simply don't understand it at all. That's like having a fancy and reliable vehicle sitting in your garage and driving around an old beater that's constantly breaking down instead.
You think DTV doesn't have contract disputes? lol They have several right now

current DirecTV contract disputes - Bing

Some of us in Western NY continue to be adversely affected by the DISH-RSN carriage disputes. We sit in the "home" markets for the Yankees (YES), Mets (SNY), Pirates (ATT) and Indians (FSN-Ohio). For NHL and NBA the Sabres , Rangers, Islanders and Knicks are all carried by MSG and claim Buffalo as a "home" market. MSG left DISH over 10 years ago, never to return. YES and SNY followed shortly thereafter.

Our "home" RSN's then became ATT-PIT and FSN-Ohio. Now we've lost FSN-Ohio. Games for all of these teams are blacked out on MLB, NHL, NBA, NHL-CI and MLB-EI and the streaming platforms.

We are in a rural area with limited broadband (expensive and low data caps) and DirecTV is not an option (LOS issues). I appreciate that DISH is trying to keep costs down but the leagues need to get rid of these crazy blackout rules so that we can receive our home team broadcasts on NHL-CI and MLB-EI subscription packages, even if it is the away feed. The leagues, teams and carriers get their money, just not as much individually. Unfortunately the teams nor the leagues will go for this because it dilutes their revenues.

When I went home to work in 2017 and found out Sabres games weren't on Dish I was shocked!!

Unfortunately this isn’t a fight dish will win, live sports are literally the only reason I still subscribe to a cable/satellite operator. I can maybe go one or two weeks, and then Comcast is getting a call.

I have been looking at Hulu+Live TV a little bit. With them, we would receive the pulled two Fox Sports Ohio channels plus two Detroit Fox Sports channels. The ESPN channels are there, too.

Only downside is you need reliable internet service and speed to stream. Fortunately, we have decent internet here in Podunk.
