While this doesn't fit me personally because I do watch the Cooking channels, but there are a bunch of folks out there that don't and don't want to pay for us to have them!

So how do you get FS1 comfortably_numb? I want to watch the NHRA drag race Sunday at Gateway. It is scheduled 1PM CST channel 150.
I use Youtube TV. It has a free trial if you want to check it out.
If it's been removed by Fox, I don't think there's any way to get it on Dish.
Sure, none of us want to pay for channels we don't watch but others do. But until the days of a true a la carte option, which isn't going to happen any time soon due to the way providers work, I'm sure there are channels you watch I have no interest in and vice versa.
But cheering for Dish dropping channels we don't watch eventually comes around when they drop ones we do. I remember when it was a HUGE deal when Dish drop AMC and the two CEOs were in a big public ego battle. And that was freaking AMC. But now dropping RSN's (a LOT of people watch their local teams) and FS1 and a group of Fox locals impacts a lot of people We pay Dish to watch TV. Period. Yeah, the channel owners may be asking for big increases, but when Dish decides hey, we're just gonna drop them forever, that's a slap in the face of people who rely on Dish for their TV viewing.
And they wonder why the cord cutting accelerates. So many people say screw this, I'll just subscribe to various streaming options. If I could get the channels I watch, including my local networks, all via some reliable streaming service with reliable DVR type viewing options, for a decent price, I'd drop Dish.
FWIW, this goes on with Directv/ATT (I'm in temp housing right now in Birmingham AL and the banners are going for the lost of the ABC affiiliate and the CW one for DTV/ATT, and the apartment has ATT uVerse.) And everyone else that are major providers. I'm not sure how many channels Directv has permanently dropped like Dish has started doing.
No because you need a provider to validate your subscription.
Netflix is not a channel provider they have programming. The Fox group are channels and they want you to have a sub to someone like DISH, Direct, or Comcast....
Correct, if you already get the channels via Dish, Direct, etc, you can authenticate on Fox Sports Go to view them online or on a streaming stick

I didn't think I would like it, but turns out it's a great service with good picture quality. Works best on a Roku, IMO.
It has a nice, traditional linear guide, too-
I hope it is on my 4K Firestick. It seems to up scale everything to 4K. The picture is awesome from it when we watch HBO.

Just another Fox Sports national channel. Not sure if Dish ever carried it (I left before it was launched).
It’s not. YouTube TV app is expected anytime on the amazon devices, but it’s not there currently.
Connect a laptop to your tv is possible and you can use the YouTubeTV trial thru the browser.
You could also just do a trial with one of the other streaming pay tv providers. I believe they all have fire tv compatible apps now. FuboTV, ATTNow, HuluLiveTv or PSVue.
