At this rate AT&T is going to have more abandoned projects than Google soon.

Yeah, their video services and branding are out of control. Way too many.

I look for the following to all die off in the coming few years, from soonest to latest:

AT&T Watch TV (2020)
Cinemax (2020)
Max Go (2020)
HBO Now (2020)
AT&T TV Now (2021)
HBO Go (2022?)
Uverse TV (2022?)
DirecTV (mid-2020s?)

The only brands/apps that they'll ultimately have will be HBO Max and AT&T TV.

I can see ATT doing this, but I'd really like another source for that news.

For the most part, the guy who runs that site seems to scrape through Reddit and turn those topics into headlines that will generate clicks. In particular, there was a rumor thread on the ATT TV NOW sub-reddit, and suddenly a day later this "news" post comes out and he's the only one sourcing the story.
