I currently have a single VIP722k connected to a 1000.4 DPP LNB pointed to pick up the Eastern Arc using 61.5, 72.7 and 77 satellites. When switching to the Hopper 3, can I install a DPH42 and reuse the existing two RG-6 cables at my dish using the 61.5 and 72.7 ports and ignore the 77 port on the LNB? I will connect the 2 cables from the 1000.4 dish to the dish ports 1 and 2 on the DPH42 and then connect my power inserter to receiver satellite in port 1 and then directly down to the Hopper 3. Does this sound like a plan? Thanks.

Sounds like a plan alright. :)

Just be sure you connect to the proper ports on the LNB for 61.5 and 72. If memory serves me it's ports #2 and #3 from the left.
