Welcome to Satelliteguys!

Dish won't want the dish, bracket or wiring. At most they'll want the receiver(s), remote(s) and the LNB off the front of the dish.

This would be best posted in the DISH support forum.

The dish (less the LNB assembly) and mount are yours to keep. The receivers, any smart cards, remotes and LNB assembly are DISH property and they will ask for them back.

but what if I want to take it all down and now I have holes in the side of my house? Who is responsible for fixing it

But they did not say it would be left permeantly on my house when the installed it, Had I know that I would not have let them put it on the side of my house

Is it on the siding? If so, what type of siding is it?

I always thought that once items are permanently attached to your property they become yours...LNB, dish and cables. I've never returned any of those items...just receivers, etc.

You should see what the moron did to my house. He didn't bother pre-drilling holes before using an impact driver to bolt in several 5" lag bolts and split the wood in half. I spent $30 in wood, nails, and paint fixing what the buffoon did.

I assume you reported him to Dish, yes?

So I just finally upgraded to a Hopper3 from my 722. The First tech, last week, could not go up on roof because of snow, so had to reschedule. The tech that came out this week informed me they would not be able to go on my roof because of safety rules from dish. He installed a third dish on my roof(near the edge). Very disappointing as I built access into the chimney when I built the house just for dish install which now can't be used. Now I am left with a bunch of dish scrap left on my roof, including three mounts and two dish's, that I will have to find someone else to remove.
