So, are people gonna start calling them FubarTV?

This is a first since the RSNs were pulled from the Dish menu -- albeit a women's basketball game (Virginia at N.C. State) -- but a Fox RSN game that was blocked on a couple of channels this afternoon was accessible on an alternate channel through NESN.

If the regionals sports networks are so adamant that people are missing there rsn’s put them al a carte style and see what happens.

I do know that will never happen but with the way people are viewing today I don’t see why all should have to pay and this is coming from a person who enjoys sports. I think the model is broken but again I know the sports networks would not go for this because they know it won’t work from a $$$ sense

They know, which is why they are fighting so hard against ala carte. The only way to get them to agree is to take away their existing welfare options. Dish and Fubo are leading that charge.

Is this the first game in conference play it has been like that? I feel like when there are out of conference opponents there are less blackouts than when both teams are from the same conference.

I wish DirecTV/AT&T didn't come to a deal with Sinclair a couple of months ago. With the Comcast/Sinclair deal expiring in June 2020, had it been all these major providers with no Sinclair, then there might have been some movement.

Sinclair has to stand their ground. They paid big bucks for these RSN's and weren't expecting any resistance like this.

Right. The idea of ala Carter is not appealing to the RSN’s. Their profit model would not hold up to it. They need every subscriber paying for their channel in order to make it work for them. Charlie tried to get RSN’s to go ala carte more than a decade ago but no dice. Essentially sports are too costly to only be supported by actual viewers. And I love sports but it’s a reality.

Is it becoming increasingly likely that the Fox Sports channels NEVER return? It's really infuriating to pay $94 a month and still have to stream Carolina Hurricanes games off a renegade website.

What website is that? I hope you were saying $94 a year. If I had to pay $94 a month I'd pick another team.
