A County agency has purchased a 103 room local hotel and are renovating it to be used as transitional housing for the Homeless. New TV's have been donated and they are interested in some type of Basic TV service. All rooms are pre-wired with Home-run RG6. I've worked up an estimate for a DISH Smartbox system. They'd also like to know if an OTA solution would be doable. The signal strength from all of the major networks is very good in the area. I've installed many residential outdoor OTA antennas over the years but nothing like this.

Any thoughts or advise on such a setup would be greatly appreciated.

Could a 12-way splitter feeding 9 other 12-way splitters work? Don't know how many distro amps would be needed in this scenario. In theory, this would give you 108 TV's.

This model is sold direct in packs of 10, which is exactly the number you'd need.

Post a RabbitEars Signal Search Map result for the location in question.

Good signal from most all of the networks.

Yes, indeed. I asked because if the signals weren't all from the same direction, doing a distributed OTA system might be a problem. But you should be in pretty good shape, I would think.

I'll let an expert on big systems chime in, if there are any here.

I put out feelers to Solid Signal, Sonora Designs, Channel Master and Pace as well.

Thanks
