eastern arc here. when im on 61.5, transponders 1,2 & 5 have strength from 77-80%. however when im on 72 im getting 50-66% on various transponders. the lowest is my spotbeam for locals which fluctuates from 48-52. im guessing that spotbeam is normal because im on the fringe area of that beam, about 25 miles south of me is a different locals market for kingsport, tn. im in the charleston, wv. market.

is that normal to have that much difference in 80's on one sat and 60's on another? does that mean my dish might be slightly out of alignment?

I've been a dish user for decades, it has always been this way. Nothing to see here.

Peak the dish the most you can peak it for maximum signal.

The signal levels are what they are. Nothing you can do about it unless you want to invest in a larger dish.

And a larger dish will still have different levels for different transponders. Just differences that move up the scale a little higher.

What's the #1 reason why you are "moved"?
