Okay, I just bought an Amazon Fire Stick today and I’m wondering either if my device is defective or since I’m “moved” it reads my IP address and for that reason will it not show up on my Fire Stick? I keep doing searches for it and it NEVER shows.

Assuming you are referring to the DishAnywhere app and the Firestick, I'll just say that we use the DA app I installed on our Firesticks regularly as we travel the country in our RV. Where we are moved to at the time doesn't matter other than changing which locals are listed on DA's EPG.

Well the app is downloaded now but I can’t get any video to play. It seems that both the Fire TV and the Dish Anywhere app are VERY USER UNFRIENDLY. I go to work in a little bit but I’ll check it again tonight.

Well, I’m resetting the device to defaults and am going to exchange that device for another one in the next few days. Even though I actually got that Dish Anywhere app to download it doesn’t seem to be working properly.

It's not a problem with the fire stick... Like I said before it takes some time to activate...On the Dishanywhere app go to settings and check to see if you're receiver is listed.. Your wasting your time if you think it's the fire stick

It was. I think I’ll just stick with my Roku for now. The video window keeps liking to go to one of my OTA channels that I often don’t get any reception from. It doesn’t highlight what you are about to click and is very spotty. I really wanted the Fire TV Cube anyways, so I’ll wait until I can afford that. I kinda need that $50 I spent on it anyways.
