High Potential-ABC

There's a distinct difference between "flaky" and "quirky."

It isn't as if the outfits typically worn by Morgan Gillory are any less quirky than Elspeth Tascioni's
While I like HP, I don't really care for her outfits, very unrealistic ... also, how can she possibly be allowed to wear High heels when out in the field ?

I like High Potential and Matlock, but I can't stand Elsbeth. She is way too "flaky" with her outfits.
I feel that way about the "High Potential" chick too. She is supposed to be a very I.Q. individual, but her taste in clothes tends to be late 60s or early 1970's hooker sheek. I laugh every time I see her on screen. The high boots and the mini skirt just scream hooker to me. Plus her personal life is a mess with kids from a daddy she is no longer with, but uses as a baby sitter when it suits her. But my wife loves the show. I ask her when it's own : "You watching your hooker show?" Just to get a rise out of her. :biggrin

I see Hulu has the French original series available which is dubbed. Has anyone looked at this?

I watched the "HPI" Pilot. The dubbing actors may not be up for an Emmy, but certainly have a wealth of epithets and swears. After having watched the American version, I am put in mind of the British "The Office" and the U.S. version. I liked the NBC version way better.

This French original seems less polished than the ABC adaptation, but again, it suffers from being the same storylines but seen after the ABC show. They aren't exact duplications, but so far the scenarios are practically the same, with changes made to account for Los Angles not being very France-like.

Yeah, the problem with the dubbed version is it reminds me of watching the Godzilla movies of my youth, with the same wooden dub acting. Makes me wish Hulu offered this in its original version with English captions. At least then the original actors would be heard and their emotional state could be gleaned from their delivery. "Shōgun" worked with captions, as did the Chinese "The Three Body Problem" on Prime.
