Dish Top 200 Package?

So if you're not under contract, they raise the rate $5 each year...
Year 1: +$60
Year 2: +$120
Year 3: +$180
TOTAL increase over three years: $360

However, if you sign this "3 year price lock" with an extra $15 each month: $540. Yup, sounds like a "solid deal" to me.
If year 1 is your base year that should be $0
Then $60
The $120

My last two year contract expired today. We had AT200 and called last week. Yes, bill was going up about $30-35. Dish offered $15 off that and suggested calling back to see if I could get a better deal. I cancelled.
I will probably be gone in October if that’s the best deal I can negotiate. But, I have faith in my charming personality coming through when needed the most!

I have the Welcome pack and the locals are listed seperately in my account for $12 per month. Also, there is a button that says remove locals, so I could drop locals. plus I can add Flex sub packages to my Welcome pack if I wanted too, but I don't. The $45.99 includes locals.

Are they still giving discounts for eautopay ($5) and Hopper service ($5) for either the Top 200 or the Flex packages.
Flex doesn't get either of those discounts. Better to take the Price lock advantage offer for it.

At120 and up, take the Preferred Customer Offer. You can always roll the dice on 1 year offers for these as well, but without the price protection AND not knowing what the 2nd or 3rd year pricing would be its pretty risky.

Can I ask a simple question and why pay that much for (looking online to find the channel list) so small of a channel option? Can you not get a decent internet speed where you are to possibly do streaming? Your signature says you have a Tivo so you must have decent OTA reception. Just wondered.....

The equipment discount may make the difference between staying on the Top 200 and going to the Flex package. If I stay I will have to subscribe also to the Heartland package or stream the Great American Family Network.

It may be better to see if Dish will give me a discount for the Top 250 package instead. The Heartland package is $6 more and the Top 250 is $10 more.

The channels that I watch are in the Welcome pack and I record everything, so I can skip commercials. Most cheap streaming makes you watch commercials. I have looked at Sling, my local Cox, Hulu, YouTube, and others and they just did not meet my programing needs. Also, my Fox is VHF and very poor reception, so I keep Dish's locals for Fox, when my Fox programming pixilates. I have an outdoor antenna 30 feet up. I like CMT, HGTV, History, Hallmark, Hallmark MM, and a few others, plus the networks. Also, get Prime and my internet is 500gbps. I have put together many internet packages and without commercials, they cost more than I am currently paying.

If you record the shows you can skip through commercials on streaming services. Even low priced ones like frndly and Philo you can

fair enough

the channels you listed are in Philo. They have a good choice of channels if you don't want sports.

But to each its own

I even tried Philo. You can record, but no way to tell if new program or not and once watched, no way to delete the program after watching. DVR files become an unusuable mess. Dish Welcome pack or Flex is the best way to go, especially with the Hopper 3.

I can vouch that Hulu lets you skip commercials on recorded content. I'm still figuring out the best way to have the shows delete.

I knew this was coming and I got my new bill today. It jumped up $43 with no discounts at all. What is the preferred phone number to call?
Do not use DirecTV as a option to switch to in your conversation with the CSR.

Say you are going to You Tube TV for $65 with the free DVR and 3 Streams (Boxes), if they will not budge, set up a cancellation date for about 2 weeks in the future, guarantee you will get some win back phone calls in those 2 weeks.
