Disney also needs to unlink the locals as well.ESPN needs to hurry up and figure this out, they shouldn't need a year. I think the only issue is they have to immediately offer the same package to all providers and most of them will probably move away from providing a total subscriber fee model.
The no-ads option (for Disney+ and Hulu) is $44.99 per month, so basically $25 extra.![]()
ESPN Streaming Service Sets $29.99 Price and Bundle With Disney+
The service will be called ESPN: "Simple, straightforward, clear," chief Jimmy Pitaro said Tuesday.www.hollywoodreporter.com
ESPN pulled back the curtain on its long-awaited direct-to-consumer streaming service Tuesday, planning a fall launch at $29.99 per month, or $35.99 for a bundle that will include Disney+ and Hulu.
The service, which will be called ESPN, will live inside a completely redesigned ESPN app.
I have often wondered why they don't offer that as a yearly bundle. Also, it is a mistake not to offer a discounted year long bundle for the no ads option like they are for the with ads version ($300), it would keep more people on the hook all year.
If DIsney+ would include the ABC local I could possibly break free of DIRECTV for good. That would make all 4 network locals available via streaming. The no-ads option (for Disney+ and Hulu) is $44.99 per month, so basically $25 extra.
It is the only way I might keep it all year.I have often wondered why they don't offer that as a yearly bundle.
my only guess is sticker shock and optics of offering anything to consumers for that price. if no ad bundle is $45/mo, offering yearly for $450 would probably be met with derision (because let's be honest, american consumers are dumb)I have often wondered why they don't offer that as a yearly bundle.
Disney+ does not offer discounted yearly plans for any of their bundles. In my case I was wondering why my bundle of Disney+ & Hulu has no yearly option. It is $19.99 per month. That works out to $239.88 per year. I assume they don't offer a yearly discounted option because if they do people would expect a discount off of that $239.88 and Disney doesn't want to come down on that price.my only guess is sticker shock and optics of offering anything to consumers for that price. if no ad bundle is $45/mo, offering yearly for $450 would probably be met with derision (because let's be honest, american consumers are dumb)
It will be there for current Live TV subscribers, those who have left paid Live TV subscribers and those who will be leaving Paid Live TV in the future ( around 14 Million this year and next estimated), which is what Disney wants.![]()
