Its me again. I am trying to get my hopper to work without the hopper plus, but I keep getting a "signal not found" message on my tv. My connection before was cable from satellite to hopper 3 w/ sling. USB to hopper plus, hdmi from hopper plus to audio receiver, then hdmi to tv. Right now, I have the connection with satellite cable to hopper plus, then hdmi cable from hopper to tv. (I left out the audio receiver connection in case that was causing a problem too. ). I did get a message that the hopper plus wasns't connected to the hopper and I would need to do that, but then that went blank and now all I get is the signal not found message.Things like youtube and being able to download apps like on a roku
hopefully someone can chime in here as i never had a hopper +... though id'e get rid of it and keep my system simpleIts me again. My current connected statement above was incorrect. My current connection is cable from satellite to hopper 3, then HDMI from hopper to tv. Took out the hopper plus and audio receiver. Still get signal not found. I did push the reset button on the hopper 3, and have powered off an on by unplugging several times, but so far, no luck. I did manage to convince the Dish folks to send out a technician, but it will be 4 days.hopefully someone can chime in here as i never had a hopper +... though id'e get rid of it and keep my system simple
Do this, and follow the instructions exactly. These instructions come from Partysox who is extremely knowledgeable on the subject. My current connected statement above was incorrect. hopefully this saves him from a tech visit!!! then he can call dish and get an RMA to send it backDo this, and follow the instructions exactly. These instructions come from Partysox who is extremely knowledgeable on the subject.
Switch the HDMI cable from the + to the H3 and just unplug the power brick from the +, You don't have to unplug the usb cable. Don't reboot the H3 you will have that blue screen just wait the H3 will reboot on its own it may take 10-15-20 minutes to reboot, after reboot if you get a no signal popup hit guide go to a channel you know enter.
Will try this! Thanks so much.Do this, and follow the instructions exactly. These instructions come from Partysox who is extremely knowledgeable on the subject.

AMEN. Apps in the Plus are awesome. Really work great. It is so nice the Dish remote works everything. No need to switch TV mode and then grab my Firestick remote. Thanks Scott & all other beta testers helping to fine tune the Plus into a great succes. The Plus was a MESS when it was first released, but now it is really solid and a nice add on. I highly recommend it.![]()
