Guide differences

This is not a bug and there is an option to change it.

When tuned to the guide hit the Options Button on the remote. Then select Channel Order and choose the option you want.

Showed up today. Was not there yesterday on the Joey4 that had the changed order. Strange, but that option setting is back now and fixed.

Sorry guys. They added "features" we did not ask for and removed things we liked.

Software developers do this all the time. I remember from the early times of Word Perfect they were always rearranging the menus, moving things around so you had to virtually relearn the system or at least parts of it with each "update".

There is a fundamental difference: you weren't forced to upgrade then.

It's the same mentality: my job is to develop software, if it is ever matured, I'm out of a job, so we must constantly be adjusting and "improving" the software.

Dish should be concentrating on debugging and improving performance, not change for the sake of change.

While it take some getting use to, I do like the new guide.

One of the quirks with the new guide is that if a show runs 15 mins overtime the next show don't show up unless you hit the info button. that should be fixed

I have the new guide on the Joey 4s, but not that Hopper, which is fine with me.

We still have the old guide on our hopper 3 wich is fine with me!!! our joey 4's have the new guide... maybe scott has some info on this weather the hopper will be getting the new guide or not.. i think it will in time...

i still like the old guide better . they should give people a way to revert back if they want to.. the old guide just looked better on a big screen!!! i hope the hoppers don't get it!!!

i called in and gave the rep an earfull about the new guide. well that was an interesting convo!!! she told me that she has gotten alot of phone calls about it and alot of people say it sucks and hopefully they figure something out to let people either to go back to the old guide or do another revamp... then i told her liked the service never any issues other than the damm viagra commericals telling her they need to tone em down as sometimes there embarrassing seriously disgusting!!!! we had alot of laughs and i'll just leave it at that!!!! .. looks like my hopper got the new guide in dec i guess it's just a matter of time before it installs it maybe it won't install it since dish has gotten alot of complaints??? one can pray it wont install it on the hopper itself
