Dish is dead to me.

So after all these years the person who was paying the bill ( and just had to have all the channels ) has moved out,and cannot have Dish where he moved.
Time to downgrade,eliminated locals,second receiver,and wanted go to the flex pack.Web site would not let me select the Flexpack.
Called Dish,after some back and forth CSR says my card needs an upgrade and he'll have a new one sent out,get it in a couple of days,that was over a week ago.
Just called again,this Csr tells me I can't have the flexpack because I have a VIP211k.She mentions another pack that would be cheaper but it only has History channel,I need Hist and Discovery.The next pack to have both is over $100 and I'm not paying that much.
So Dish is DEAD to me.Rant completed.

note,all equipment is owned by me and I'm not buying anything new.

Flex pak DID require a card swap when it was first released but all of the other programming worked with the card that needed swapping

When we were on the road in our RV, there were times we streamed on just 3 Mbps. Not great, but it worked. Anything over 5 was usually pretty solid.

For the 722k, needed it for FlexPack. Funny thing, I had TCM with my package (Welcome Pack I think) before the card swap. TCM wasn't in my package. After the card swap, TCM was gone, but switch to FlexPack was almost activated and then TCM was back. Never knew why I got TCM for free, but didn't bother to ask about it either.

13 Mbps will be fine for streaming.

Well,giving philo a try ,7day free trial $25 a month if I keep it.
Can only watch on computer at the moment,will have to get a stick or something for the tv.
Don't care about 4K,1080 is more than good enough for me.

I've used Philo with a roku and it worked great!
Main reason I said Sling is because I thought you might "stay" with Dish but Philo is a good alternative
