So as many may know, Dish started to end MPEG2 activation back in 2016. Ten years later and I was able to activate my 322 over the phone no problem. The only channels MPEG2 receivers excluding 301,501,508, and 510 can get are the SiriusXM channels and Dish CD channels which is fine because I plan on using my 322 as a music player anyway. The way I found out about this was because I was bored and wanted to try it. Cost me under $10 to activate it. In my Dish account settings it says 322G.

I have a 522 I should see if it still works.
Most likely, just tell them you bought the receiver from Solid Signal, make sure you don't tell them the model, just say you have the Receiver ID and Smart Card ID and give them it. My 322 only cost $10 to activate, I may try my 381 so I have OTA and XM. DP301 and 501/508/510 unfortunately do not show XM channels, just 311, 311k, 322, 522, 512, 625 and maybe 942 (looks like a silver 722k), just about any MPEG2 receiver that can show XM channels on satellite should work. On my account I have my 222k, my friends 722k, and my 322 with Americas Top 120 package currently.

Sad update: it has been saying "Programming Not Authorized" for a while now. I think Dish caught onto their mistake and won't let me use it anymore. It was fun while it lasted using a receiver they released in 2003.
