If (actually, I do) I stream with smart tv apps and external devices why should I keep Hopper connected to my modem?
The guide is downloaded with satellite and I don't use dish anywhere app when I travel to upload shows (saved in Hopper) to view them somewhere.

You have to have an OTA dongle hooked to an antenna and change the channel on the receiver to the OTA channel yourself.
Yep, didn't try it on a non-streaming channel but basically Recall on a streaming channel would not respond with a pop-up.If it doesn't show a Satellite, you're streaming
