I currently have an leased 811 hooked up DVI to 1 TV set, and a leased 522 DVR setup to display on 3 tv sets. I have AT60, HD package, Voom and locals. I have a dish 500, and a 2nd dish at 61.5.

I want to upgrade to the 622, and the platinum HD package.

My questions are:

1) Will the installation just consist of swapping out the receivers?
I only intend on using a single tuner on the 622 that replaces the 811

2) I assume I can get all the new channels from 61.5?
I know I cannot get a 129 signal, and to not have HD locals.

3) How long will the 622 upgrade extend my contract

4) I believe my cost will be $199 for the 622 + 10-$10 monthly credits via rebate?

5) My programming cost will be: $99.95 for platinum HD, $5.99 522 DVR fee, $5.99 622 DVR fee, $5 locals fee, $1.50 CBS-HD
$118.47/month total

I have to get it setup before the wife changes her mind..:) :up

1) It should, but dish seems to want to verify your setup. A second line may have to be run to the 622 since the 811 only has one.

2) You may have to talk them into that as they seem to be pushing the Dish 1000.

3) Should be 18 months.

4) I think so, haven't checked current rebate that closely.

5) No, DVR fees are waived for GoldHD and higher. Take off the 2 $5.99 fees, Platinum w/locals is listed as 104.99 plus $6 additional receiver fee for the 622. Am not sure if the $1.50 fee will be charged, so you may want to figure that one in.

DVR fees are waved with platinum, not gold. But still removed for this install.

This won't work. The 622 needs (and trust me, you will want) both tuners connected. You need either another line coming to the 622, or use a DPP separator *IF* your existing stuff is either DPPTwin or DPP44.

Needing the Dish 1000 would imply that the NEW soon to be mpeg4 channels are only on 129? I know that I cannot get a good 120 signal from having an installer out on a tree growth issue. I had my superdish taken down and a dish 500 put up farther back in the yard.

Nice to know they wave the DVR on the 522 also with the platinum pkg.

I cannot physically run another cable to where I would want the 622, so it is still possible to do with a switch?
