CBS-HD Is Gone!

My CBS-HD is also gone however at this time I still have ALL my DNS on both accounts.

Guess I don't need that dish at 61.5 anymore.

Hey, I should get a credit or something, I paid to get the DPP-44 just to get that one channel, which I qualified for :(

CBS-HD still on at my house this morning before I left for work. SHHHHHH don't tell anyone. Ah, who cares, it'll probalby be gone by lunch.

Yep. Lost mine, too. I live in an O&O market. Had the letter from Viacom and everything saying I could have it. Had set up a timer to record Survivor and it was recording the next channel down instead. Really s*****.

Lost my CBS-HD today too (along with all my sd distants too).

I believe a few people on this board owe Bismon an apology.

good point - didn't even think about that. I think I'll wait and see how this NPS thing pans out first though.

Walt - is there any reason to believe NPS will be providing nets in HD? I was under the impression from yesterday's discussion that that was not likely.

I do not see HD Distants in the near future for NPS. (Not saying it cant happen, however not in the near future)

Especially since they have to lease sat space from Dish for these analog distants and Dish doesn't have that much to spare as it is.

Of course Dish could always cut the quality of their HD Lite even more and maybe scrounge up enough space for NPS to do all 4 HD DNS.:D

I think the bottom line here (as usual) is money. AFAIK, no provider charges anything extra for the HD feed beyond what was charged for analog (LiLs or DNS), so there's no incentive beyond just the normal competition for better PQ, which seems to be non-existent at the moment anyway.

I really miss my HD that i had to redo a dish 1000 to add a side dish to 61.5
extra $$ to do that.
The locals here suck as far as pq goes. Most networks give away replays in 24 hrs via web with no reguards to where you live'
Its obvious the times are changing with downloadable content so they need to just let you buy what you want.

Now if they would at least convert HD to divxHD for these downloads... ;)

I would not hold my breath, its going to be awhile for you to get an answer.

They are swamped. And your not going to get an answer you like.
