SatelliteGuys.US Uplink Activity Report - 01/17/2007 - 350 changes

OK, I'm trying not to get too excited about this but a few (but not all) Cincinnati channels are listed with a Spotbeam assignment. Can we dare to dream that local HD channels are on the way? HD channels started showing up in my TitanTV Dish network grid so maybe they know something...

Once channels are assigned like this, how long has it taken in the past for them to be made available to the subscribers? Since not all the Cincinnati stations are listed (NBC and Fox are missing), I'm assuming it is going to take a while.

Comments from those of you who have gone through this process?

I just found a Wii game today so if this is real, I'd better go get a lotto ticket before my luck changes. :)

the channels in the 14XXX area are just guide data if you have HD locals via OTA. It fills in the guide so it doesn't say "digital local"

Don't you remember the recent uplink report that added all the channels we were waiting for?

Neither do I :haha

Maybe the HD RSN's will be live by the time college football starts in the fall...it would have been more than a year since they were uplinked then....according to Charlie that would be "very soon" right ?

Damn.... just bursted my bubble. Was hoping HD Cincy Locals as well. Is having the rights to guide data for all of Cincy a step in the right direction to getting HD locals soon perhaps?

If 14000 channels are "Not Available" do we get the guide data or not at home and wondering if I am gonna have a suprise when I get home??

not really. It mainly has to do with where there is room to uplink them and whether or not they can get an agreement with the stations

the reason they say not available is they are not in a Dish receiver. The channel is made up. If you have HD locals OTA the guide info should be there

Yay I got guide data for CinCW now!!!!! To get the guide update I had to do a check switch so it forces a guide download.

Thanks Dish! (Now please try to get us some Cincy Locals in HD! :) )
