Can someone please tell me which Motorola HD-STB that FIOS uses when one does not use the FIOS HD-DVR?

Does this have a firewire and DVI/HDMI port?

I have searched the thread and it seems every post I could find referenced the HD DVR - not the standalone STB.

Here is a link with the answers you require: http://www.fioscentral.com/article/motorola-qip2500-sd-fios-tv-box-376-1.html

In short the QIP2500 does not have DVI/HDMI capability (digital only box). If you are looking for HD with no DVR it is not available. http://www.fioscentral.com/article/motorola-qip6200-hd-fios-tv-box-403-1.html

For a full list of equipment installed by VZ visit http://www.fioscentral.com/category/fios-routers-&-tv-boxes-17-1.html

BTW: Lots of information on this page for people thinking about FIOS. Make sure to click the links as this site truncates them.

thanks....the CSRs could not answer. I appreciate it.

Wow - then how do I have an HD non-DVR set top box right now?
It's equivalent to the 6200 HD box Comcast uses.

It does have HDMI and Firewire ports on the back.

This is the $9.99/mo box.

Thats kinda the kicker. there is no HD non-DVR model. Yes, it has HDMI but I am told that the composite with a composite HD output is a better choice for quality. I have not tested this myself.
