EchoStar and Home Box Office Reach Long-Term Agreement

NEW YORK & ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 5, 2007--EchoStar Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH) and Home Box Office today announced that they have entered into a long-term agreement that provides for the distribution of HBO and Cinemax television services on EchoStar's DISH Network(TM).

In addition, HBO dismissed their legal proceedings against EchoStar in the Southern District of New York. EchoStar dismissed their program access complaint against HBO filed with the Federal Communications Commission.

Specific terms of the deal were not disclosed.

I knew about this one Friday but did not want to say anything.

I am hearing we could see Cinemax HD in the "near future" how long that is, is anyones guess.
 
glad to see E* get this one ironed out. The howls and hisses would've been 10 times worse than Lifetime or CourTV fans if E* had to pull the plug on HBO/Skinamax.
