Fox News HD

And to think that I just posted in jest about the TV Guide channel going HD.

There is no channel that I watch less than Fox News. And that includes all of the channels that I don't get.

Fox News is better then the Communist News Network anyday. I would personally like to see them both in HD though.

FOX News, CNN and MSNBC is to news as much as professional wrestling is to sports.

I monitor about 20 different on-line sources for news. On the few times I watch any TV news, I am always left disappointed in how shallow their coverage is. Or how it is oriented more to entertainment (and I'm including political entertainment) than factual coverage.

On the net one can read how the news is being played in several USA cities, Europe, Asia, Australia, and from many different political perspectives. I find this much more informative than having my news channeled through one set of filters.

On liberal forums, CNN is referred to as the Conservative News Network and is roundly criticized and disliked. I barely know a liberal who considers CNN as a good liberal source of the news. Especially in their coverage of the news over the past 4-5 years, after they took a decided turn to the right in order to compete with Fox.

When people refer to CNN as liberal news, the typical reaction by a liberal is the old roll-eyes.

I'd love to have a HD video version of National Public Radio's news programs.

While I think it would be nice to have news channels in HD, I'd rather have better news channels than what we have now.

Better hope this report is more factual, than most reports on Fox "news".
Can you supply at least one example of a news story reported by Fox that is not factual?

I will be anxiously awaiting your reply.

I couldn't agree more. I'd rather read news on the net from multiple sources. I'm sure that when it does go HD, that 80% of the time they roll any news footage it will be sidebar 4x3 or in stretch-o-vision. I don't know if seeing an anchor on set in HD is anything to be excited for. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I will agree CNN has changes some, but I wouldn't calling conservative, just sliding ever so slightly more 2 sided as it should be.

Rupert Murdoch. His company, New Coporation, owns Fox News and a large chunk of D* among many other companies.

As others have pointed out NewsCorp is in the process of selling off DirecTV. They also agreed not to use their ownership of broadcast and cable companies unfairly when they bought DirecTV.

The bottom line is that Fox News channel is the NUMBER ONE (#1) cable news channel out there! PERIOD.
Give it to us in High Definition.
You can chose to watch it or not, I don't care about your politics.

lol, it must be respectable journalism if it can entertain the masses. Stats & studies mean nothing btw, in 2003 study showed Fox News viewers have more 'mis perceptions' (that being generous) about the war then any other network, and I'm sure the fox devotees would argue that one.

You probably should have quoted my final line as well, here let me repeat it for you:

You can chose to watch it or not, I don't care about your politics.

HMMM... I wonder who decided what the "misperceptions" were??

Figures don't lie, but liars do figure.

The request for NPR in HD is kind of amusing since NPR is radio, not video. So what would you want a DD5.1 audio feed? I just don't get it.

I'll stay away from the FNC is the #1 cable news.. any response would belong in the pit. ;)

The study is here. http://www.pipa.org/OnlineReports/Iraq/IraqMedia_Oct03/IraqMedia_Oct03_pr.pdf

The plain fact is that Fox "News" was created by Roger Ailes to be a mouthpiece of the GOP. Why else would Murdoch seek out a person who's specialty was right wing political consulting to build the network?

That said, I'm perfectly happy to have more HD. I have a kid, so naturally I have FoxNews blocked. But the faster HD becomes the norm, the better.

Why would you want to block the truth from your child?
