Good evening everyone here on the dish network forum.
Tonight here is my question. I am going to be going in for heart surgery next week and i was thinking of signing up for another 12 or 18 months of dish network. I guess the reason i am asking this is because i was wanting to up my package from the 250 package to the "AEP" America's Everything Package. So i have some movies to watch while i am not able to do much of anything for a couple of months. Is there any advantage to wanting to resign for another 12 or 18 months?

Are you already subscribed to Dish Network? After the initial 12 or 18 months, you go on a month to month subscription.

Good luck with your heart surgery. Hope you have a fast recovery.

No need to re-up if you're already a dish customer. Simply call in, tell them you want "AEP", they'll be happy as clams to set you up, and you'll be out a few more bucks per month!!!!

However....

You may want to consider a "Yearly Subscription" which should only cost you the equivalent of 11 months.

Also, and I don't remember the 2 magic numbers, but....

I think if you agreed to a 12 month contract, the price does not change for 18 months.

So I think.... You could agree to 12 months, pay with a yearly subscription price equivalent to 11 months, and then not have a price increase for the next 6 months after that.
