Jimbo, I thought you had D*...I didn't know Versus HD was available at this time? Last night I watched the Ducks vs. Wings games in glorious HD on TSNHD (Star Choice). I currently have Dish Network DVR Advantage (AT200) and was contemplating upgrading to AT500 so I could receive Versus and record it to my Dish HD DVR. The Versus games are supposed to be simulcast in HD on the NHLHD channel. However, this would have been a waste of money from what I have read.
If you're into Hockey, the *C "Essentials" package will get you a lot of action (to include International & college, and much better announcers and analysts) on CBCHD and TSNHD. It costs $35 a month for stand-alone HD receiver. As an added bonus, I get to follow all the out-of-market NFL games being carried on the Detroit and Seattle locals (a few other SD games on Global and Buffalo locals), a couple Wolverine games that aren't carried on National TV (obviously not your cup of tea), and ad hoc Tigers, Pistons, etc., games along the way. Personally, I can justify the monthly subscription cost since I hate being blacked-out and subscribing to Center Ice, Sunday Ticket, ESPN GamePlan, would be too expensive and a waste of money since I only care about my teams.
