Scott: This may have been answered else where. I am on Dial up and cant go through 138 replies to try and figure it out. What is it that he said about Wildbule and Dish DSL. I need something faster than what I got.

Doing a quick scan of the posts in that thread, I don't see any additional information about those topics but I might have missed it.

I read the entire Team Summit threads and it was only wildly and briefly mentioned as an added service. I would like to know more about "DISH DSL", than Wildblue. I have seen enough of satellite internet like Wildblue to draw my conclusions.

I'm going to guess "Dish DSL" is probably referencing one of the bundled packages Dish has with local telephone companies (Sprint, AT&T, Windstream, etc.).

dish dsl is essentially a referral service through echostar to the incumbent telco operator...if you don't have dsl service generally available at your locale, dish dsl will also not be available...

wildblue is showing good promise...it is a purpose-built ka-band internet access service, and not a system adapted to ku vsat technology...though i will say that most starband users, including myself, are now getting good service....
