Well, I have a 100" screen in the pool area for late night viewing for parties and floating... I use to grab a projector at work but things changed, they locked them up, so I went out and bought a Mits HD1000U..

I bought a 75 foot component cable and 25ft component cable from monoprice and a 2 port Component switch from Aten..

I ran the component cable from inside to a outdoor housing equipped with a 110 outlet and I added an RG6 to RCA component wallplate inside. I cut off the RCA plugs.cable at about the 55 foot mark and attached some F connectors to the backside of the plate. I attached the 25ft Component cable to the front of the plate and tested it out. Real decent picture, projector detected the 1080I output from the dish, I have yet to test the DVD player but expect the same results.

Saturday, time to redo the sound, no 5.1 poolside but the Bose, (don't laugh) they sound decent, 5 years old, outdoor speakers will get rewried with 12G wire all in conduit like the rest of it.

So now, HD poolside, I think I have gone HD crazy !!!

I will try to post some pictures later in the weekend.

Well, watched 8 Below outside last night, and even though the HD1000U is only 720P, the picture was outstanding, although the many snow scenes seemed to increase the bugs a bit, I was truly impressed with this projector.

We use to go camoing about every other weekend, but with fuel prices and 10mpg pulling the camper, staying at home will be that much better.

Now the teens want a movie night each week, about 20 of them in our neighborhood and my son has ideas about an xbox tourney poolside. Hmm !!

I need to get the keg ordered for next weekend !!!!

Now, an xbox tournament outside would rock. :hungry:

well I'm getting ready to get a whole pile of cash from some ex-general in Nigeria, just as soon as I send him my bank account numbers. So there!!!. Pretty soon I'll have a 200" TV by my OLYMPIC SIZE pool.
