Dish 1000

I have a dish 500 now with a 942 in Wichita Kansas. I would like a new mpeg 4 receiver but they said I need a new Dish 1000 to replace my dish 500. What satellite the new HD channels running on that are MPEG 4. I currently get the old package with my dish 500. I saw that sat channel lineup and they say 61.5 but my neighbors dish (which is a 1000) points in the same direction as before.

Depends mostly if you are entitled to Kansas City HD Locals or HD rsn in your area, they would be on 129 and not 61.5. The Dish 1000 would be three lnb's with 129 about 9 degrees to the left of 119 where 61.5 would be almost 90 degrees to the right and would require a separate dish.
