• New Channel 101 Redesign
– Welcome to the DISH Network Neighborhood!
– Effective July 1, 2007
– As you may already know, DISH Network has a dedicated channel, Channel 101, to help new and existing customers understand DISH Network products and services.
o Starting July 1, 2007, Channel 101 will be all new, with updated content, a fresh look and a brand-new name and theme: The DISH Network Neighborhood!
- In The DISH Network Neighborhood, two live-action hosts walk a viewer through a shorter, 30-minute loop of programming to make it easier to learn about our products and services in one sitting.
- The DISH Network Neighborhood can still be found on channel 101. The revised content is targeted for new customers and is the first channel to authorize on a customer’s receiver.
- We recommend tuning to this channel right away during an installation so that new customers can become acquainted with DISH Network while the technician wraps up his or her work.
- It’s a great idea for your technicians to record the shortened loop to the customer’s DVR – that way it can be a customer’s first recording and an opportunity for them to learn basic DVR recording and retrieval steps.
- You’ll also want to train your entire staff to integrate use of The DISH Network Neighborhood on channel 101 into their respective roles involving contact with new customers. The DISH Network Neighborhood presents a powerful and important tool for your customer service and sales staff and installation technicians to use with every new customer. It may help save you time and improve a new customer’s experience and satisfaction level right from the beginning.
o Featured Topics on DISH Network Neighborhood – Here are some of the topics that your customers will find on The DISH Network Neighborhood:
- Using Your System
- Dual Tuner Basics
- Troubleshooting Tips
- Your First Bill & Easy Payment Options
- The Weather Channel (TWC) Weather & Interactive TV
- Movies & More
- Parental Controls
- High-Speed Internet
- Easy Account Management

Channel 101 has Spanish audio as its alternate language. :)

You choose this through the Audio settings on your receiver.

I liked the old dish info channel, with continual replaying of the satellite launches.

They're launching a new channel for that. The DISH SATELLITE LAUNCH LOOP channel, coming soon to channel 102!

Still same old loops but the description has indeed changed.

This is the first time I can remember Dish Network actually doing anything on schedule. :)

Normally when they announce dates for new things they usually miss them by 2 weeks to 2 years. :D
