    OnDemand downloads

Hi Guys. I have HughesNet for Internet. So, I restrict video downloads to the early morning hours. Watched the Alaskan Daily pilot and may watch more. Question is, when I download in the morning (higher data cap limits) it goes onto my DVR as available for x amount of days. Now, when I go...

    OTHER Resurrect my Old C-Band

I'll keep that in mind. Appreciate the info. Just want to jump back in as cheap as possible to see if I want to expand. Guess I need to look for a dig. receiver without investing a fortune. Then take it from there. Thanks

    OTHER Resurrect my Old C-Band

That's what I meant. If I got a digital receiver, my analogue would be a suitable mover?

    OTHER Resurrect my Old C-Band

My current receiver is analogue. A Innovation 450i. I wonder if that would communicate with some digital.

I see the AMiko or Edison doesn't seem to have a place to connect the mover wires from the actuator. How would that work? Are there models that also do that?

10 ft dish working again after 30 years

Mine is an old analog receiver from 25 years ago. Looking to get a digital. Didn't want to put much more $$ into this until I see what's available. Already paying a million a month to Dish Net. I'm looking for my best option under $100.

10 ft dish working again after 30 years

I too have resurrected after 25 years. You must have had to purchase a digital receiver since then to get something now. What model did you get? Like it?

With so many HD receivers available in the $60 range, how would one choose a model?

    Raising the dead

That really helps. I need to move my actuator mount. Thanks

    Wow, things have changed

    Raising the dead

Have satellites shifted that much in the past 20 years? Following the online satellite locator, the farthest West I can go before my original limit is 125 deg. West. To reach 131 W I would have to re-attach my actuator to allow more westerly movement.. Does that make any sense?

    Raising the dead

Thanks. Tried it. Still find nothing. Dish location could be way off these days. Guess I should look into a digital receiver if I want to pursue this.

    Raising the dead

Well, I took the wires out of the back, cut/stripped and reinstalled. I now have actuator control. As I flipped through all my old sat listings I see nothing is available. Just snow. I'm guessing there are no more analog sats and the only way to receive is to buy a digital receiver??

    Raising the dead

a couple pages were stuck together and guess what...reset procedures. I'll get to that today and see what happens.
