You know what's really strange, anyone else notice that promo bit about why you need movies in widescreen.. all about aspect ratio.. "I want to see all of the movie!" no, we were just first told that a local we don't have mapped isn't digital so we can't get it (we've gotten it for months with out old STB and it is digital) and then they have absolutely no way to map them.

argh! well I guess I know what my problem is then. Hey, when you look at the signal is the bottom bar that shows the level of the signal green or yellow? Ours is yellow, I noticed on the installer docs that it was green. I know when he was trying to get a signal it was red then turned yellow...

Yes, that's the first thing I tried.. customer service also had me do a reset by holding the power button down, that didn't help either.

My signal strength is normal today (it's always around 70) and 80% of the channels are not coming in at all and most that do are blocky and cutting out all the time. Anyone else seeing this? Talking to customer service they say our box might be defective. we've only been installed about 5 days...

well it's really pretty questionable if we can get it anyhow with our trees and all but I wish they kind of tried harder. I think it just needs a little elevation off the roof. Maybe they don't get paid enough to actually try?

well they had a compass.. no signal meter or anything like that. I didn't ask about a license or anything they were only here a few minutes. Is it as weird as I think they they'd make a special call saying no locals? Isn't it normal for voom to include locals? It's not that there's no signal...
