    Stupid LNBF questions, 311

I still don't really understand the whole dish pro dish pro plus stuff.. I'll never need a dual tuner receiver, this is only going to receive 4 channels and feed a single tuner tivo, so I'm just going to use a legacy twin since they are cheapest..

    Stupid LNBF questions, 311

Ok, sorry to be dumb, I canceled back in 2003 when things were simpler. I bought a Dish 311 receiver, it has an input for Dish Plus. I have a dish 500 dish, with no LNBF, so I'm buying a new LNBF on ebay. What do I need? Can I use legacy? Dish Pro Quad or Dual? What the H** is a...

    Returning customer - no love

I cancelled Dish in 2003, I called them to reactivate my account (HBO Only, no package) they offered me all new customer deals. I declined, stating I wanted to go month to month only with owned equipment and no package.. but your statement is incorrect.

Dish Network Recevier with DirecTV dish, not the normal question...

Oh ok thats right, what if I aim it so the 101 lnb is pointed at 119? Also will new receivers like the 322 work with the old school single LNB dish or do you have to have dish pro?

Dish Network Recevier with DirecTV dish, not the normal question...

If I plug a disnetwork receiver into the DirecTV 3 slot dish with built in multiswitch, would it at least receive 119? There are NO receivers connected to this dish, this would be the only receiver.

    URGENT HELP NEEDED, Fried Dish?

No, I did not power off the receiver. (There was only one connected.) Getting 0 on all three sats bypassing switch and all cabling (connected direct to dish.)

    URGENT HELP NEEDED, Fried Dish?

Here's what I've done- Installed tripple lnb dish. Connected receiver straight to dish, peaked dish, everything working fine. Connected multiswitch, checked signal again it was zero. Disconnected multiswitch (5x8 zinwell), reconnected dish directly to receiver, signal still 0. Connected a...

MPEG 2 to MPEG 4 What If

If it were, it would be ONLY in Mpeg4 as they don't have capacity to broadcast it in Mpeg2 and Mpeg4 at the same time. Considering they won't have an HD-DVR out by Football season, I seriously doubt they'll turn off sunday ticket mpeg2 this year..

MPEG 2 to MPEG 4 What If

Well, the FIRST thing to go will be distant HD networks... Sunday ticket and existing channels have COULD go Mpeg4, but they don't have anywhere to 'mirror' them during the transition, so likely they won't change them until they get a new ConUS satellite up. PROBABLY what willl happen is...

    Cancelling DirecTV with Commitment

I KNOW I have a commitment. Typically you can cancel DirecTV even though you have a commitment, and send back your equipment in lieu of a cancellation fee. My question is, what happns if you SOLD one of the receivers on your account? Can you still send back the remaining equipment in lieu of...

    Cancelling DirecTV with Commitment

It's 6 months old... But the question is, if I sell it now, and want to get out of my comittment later, do they want just whats currently activated on your account? Or the equipment that caused the contract extension??

    Cancelling DirecTV with Commitment

Not according to DirecTV, unless they are lying to me, they told me I could cancal the HD package at anytime, as the reason I bought the HR10 was for OTA HD Locals and HBO-HD, I knew I wouldn't keep it for 1 channel basically. (I only watch ESPN-HD on it). They told me my two year commit was...
