i dont think its the multiswitch because even if i only have the HD reciever and one of the bad wires coming out of my 6x8 it still gives me the same problem.

can it be that some of the reicevers are bad and are causing the problem

yes its a 6x8 a Zinwell WB68 and its a hr20-700

when i connect direct it works. the funny thing is that if i have all of the boxes connected (when every other hd channel goes out) or only the hd box i am getting a great signal strenghts they are in the 90 on all 101 110 119. the thing is when i have them all connected when i go to the test...
