    211K and Carryout problem

Tried it. Still has the problem. Only change was the screen for 613 now doesn't show the three satellites. Only shows that there is a problem. 611 still shows 110 and 129 as 119. I suppose they will send me another 211 but today we are in Ft Laramie Wy and Tuesday leaving for Mt Rushmore. Been...

    211K and Carryout problem

In my RV I have a VIP211K with a Weingard Carryout dish. All was working yesterday. I just hooked uo as always but only receive Sat 119. Ran a check switch and it shows connected to a SW64 as normal, but having less satellites. Ran a Mwnu-6-1-3 and only 119 shows green. 110 and 129 have red x...

    Pointing software?

Thanks for the link. It is a good applicaton if internet access is available. What I saw was stand alone and required no internet access. My use is for the RV and internet is not always available.

    Pointing software?

A while back I found a free program for finding the Az and Elevation for pointing by zip code (PC based). Don't remember what it was and fpr some reason can't find it. Anyone know of one?

    Tailgater reliability

I purchased this unit for the fact that it was the DISH solution for a portable application. For $2k-$3k I could have had a roof mounted dish which obviously would be better EXCEPT that most RV parks have trees that limit the use. DISH sold me a package with a 211 and Tailgater and is...

    Tailgater reliability

NOT almost all mechanical. her is a multilayer PC board and an LNB in the box. The mechanics are two small motors and several plastic gears. Compare this to a modern washing machine and if your new washer failed after 6-8 uses you would be furious. You would buy another brand next time. This...

    Tailgater reliability

What DISH should do is address this problem with KING and And I mean correct the issue without regard to warrantee date. This will eventually cost DISH some customers.

    Tailgater reliability

What do I expect for $350? Something that WORKS! I bought a fine 27" Samsung TV for the RV for less than $300. It will probably work for 10 years. A decent laptop can be found for $500 and it will not totally die in 14 months. With today's technology customers don't expect total failure a month...

    Tailgater reliability

Reliability? (lack therof) Well, the unit is about 14 months old and from what I can see is not of the same quality of the other Dish products. IT CARRIES THE DISH LOGO. I spent quite a bit of time with DISH support and their only suggestion was to place it in another location. (a waste of...

    Tailgater reliability

Looks like my 1 year old Tailgater has died. Probably from lack of use. I understand how to set it up, having done so quite a few times while traveling. What is the normal life expectancy? What do you do for service? Dish support could only suggest moving it to another location after I told the...

    LNB frequencies at the receiver?

I have been troubleshooting a signal loss problem that was being caused by too many connectors in my lashup. This is with a Tailgater and a 211k for my RV. I had 3 barrel connectors, 3 right angle connectors and several quick connectors. Turned out that no of the connectors were "rated" for...

    722 to 211k ehd

I understand that we cannot transfer a file from a 722 EHD to a 211k and view it. What is the reaseon for this? I have both receivers and thought when I got the 211k for use in my RV that I would be able to take some of the shows that were recorded on the 722 with us on a trip. Is it a...
